01 · Executive Investment Overview

NEED

High-frequency shared-surface sanitation

Facilities have recurring sanitation needs at touch surfaces and workstations. A compact fixed installation could automate scheduled treatment in controlled environments, subject to validated dose and interlocking.

PROPOSED RESPONSE

Integrated UVC + sensing

The specification proposes automated disinfection when motion ceases, with a motion-triggered interruption and user-programmed treatment intervals.

PRODUCT CONCEPT

Size-variable modular enclosures

Multiple housing profiles use reflective internal surfaces, adjustable deflectors and photovoltaic/battery/external supply options. The specification describes compact and longer configurations.

INITIAL BUYERS

B2B / institutional channels

Potential prospects include facility managers, equipment OEMs, transit operators, hospitality groups, commercial cleaning partners and healthcare-sector specialists.

REVENUE PATHS

Hardware, OEM and IP licenses

Evaluate direct equipment sales, manufacturing royalties, territory-specific licenses, private-label/OEM arrangements, and service or maintenance plans.

REQUIRED PROOF

Safety and antimicrobial efficacy

Any commercial claim requires independent laboratory testing, exposure-safety validation, compliance review and mechanical/electrical reliability evidence.

02 · Technical Architecture and Functional Operation

The invention's disclosed subsystem categories include the UVC load module (207), motion sensor module (204), sanitation timer module (206), circuit switching module (205), photovoltaic energy-production module (202), battery charger/controller module (201), energy-storage module (208), and external power module (203). Parts include housing (11), reflectors (15), adjustable deflector (26), door (21), mounting plate (35), and power input (20). The numbering follows the uploaded specification and Figure 13 block diagram.

01 · SENSOR

Motion detection

Motion is monitored in a defined zone. The stated design interrupts UVC emission when movement is detected and restarts the timing procedure only after the zone is clear.

02 · CONTROL

Timed exposure cycle

Timer logic sets the irradiation interval; user-adjustable operation is proposed. Real-world deployment requires fail-safe default-off design, minimum interruption latency and independent fault handling.

03 · SOURCE

UVC emitters

The specification contemplates UVC LEDs or lamps in the germicidal spectral range. Choice depends on wavelength, radiant power, efficiency, temperature, lifetime and certification pathway.

04 · OPTICS

Reflective chamber and deflector

Reflective surfaces and a hinged, adjustable deflector are proposed to redirect radiation toward target areas. Optical leakage, hotspots and occlusion need measurement.

05 · POWER

PV, rechargeable storage, external input

Photovoltaic cells may charge storage under useful illumination. An external connection provides additional power. A control system must manage charging, temperature, power budget and safe shutdown.

06 · ENCLOSURE

Maintenance-access housing

Several embodiments show compact and elongated housings, access doors, visors and mounting interfaces intended for wall, panel or equipment installation.

Disclosed operating sequence: Detect clear area → confirm safe conditions → enable timer → energize UVC load → redirect radiation via optical elements → monitor occupied zone throughout exposure → immediately inhibit emission upon detected motion → remain safely off until restart criteria are satisfied.
Critical safety distinction: A single motion sensor does not by itself make an exposed UVC source safe for occupied spaces. A marketable device needs validated human/animal exposure controls, redundant protections as appropriate, fault detection, interlocked access, warning labels and a documented risk assessment. UVC can injure eyes and skin.

03 · Optical / UV-C Design Mathematics

The following are foundational engineering relationships—not evidence that the disclosed product meets a disinfection claim. Every target organism/surface requires validated wavelength-specific dose, irradiance mapping, environmental conditions and appropriate safety standards.

Delivered radiant dose

H = E × t, where radiant exposure H is in mJ/cm², surface irradiance E is in mW/cm² and exposure t is in seconds. Example: 0.10 mW/cm² for 300 seconds yields 30 mJ/cm² at the measured point.

Shadows, orientation, soil, geometry, spectrum, aging and distance can substantially reduce the actual dose.

Unobstructed point-source estimate

E ≈ Prad / (4πr²) for an ideal isotropic emitter, with consistent area units. Real LEDs/lamps are directional, reflective housings distort the field, and radiometric mapping is necessary.

Doubling range causes an idealized fourfold irradiance drop before considering directional effects.

Electrical energy per cycle

Wcycle = Pelec × t / 3600 in watt-hours when P is watts and t seconds. Example: a 20 W lamp operating 5 minutes requires about 1.67 Wh for the lamp alone.

Add control, sensors, driver losses, storage losses and standby consumption.

Power-generation balance

EPV/day ≈ A × G × ηpanel × ηsystem × h using representative irradiance G in W/m² and sun-equivalent hours h. Indoors, incident irradiance/spectrum may be far below outdoor conditions.

Solar power must not be treated as sufficient until measured at the installation location.

Interactive engineering estimator (illustrative only)

30.00mJ/cm² at measured point
2.00Wh per full device cycle
24.00Wh/day, excluding standby / charging losses

Do not derive germicidal efficacy or occupational safety limits from this calculator. It is not a validated exposure plan or laboratory measurement.

10 · IP Position, Licensing Diligence and Partner Protections

Inventor and disclosed IP

The patent specification names the invention Sterilization Device and provides detailed subsystem descriptions and 13 accompanying drawing sheets. An inventor/company website asserts that the UVC invention is patented; the inventor reports a Slovenian grant.

Confirm the grant document, owner of record, issued claims and remaining term before external distribution as verified IP.

Transaction-ready data room

  • Patent grant, family, priority and filing/renewal receipts
  • Claims comparison against the proposed product architecture
  • Assignment and employee/contractor IP agreements
  • Confidential manufacturing drawings and BOM
  • Measured test results, regulatory review and design history
  • OEM agreements, quotes and pilot letters
A patent grant in Slovenia does not automatically confer exclusive rights across the EU, and the patentability/validity of specific aspects must be evaluated under the relevant national or regional grants. A patent grant is not a safety approval.

11 · Technical & Investor FAQ

What does the proposed device disinfect?

The disclosed invention is intended for surface treatment. Candidate applications include defined workstations, fixtures and controlled facility surfaces. Claims for air disinfection or generalized room sterilization cannot be inferred without separate engineering and efficacy validation.

How does the motion sensor govern the UVC cycle?

The specification proposes that sensing movement interrupts UV-C output and that a timer enables a cycle after the monitored zone clears. A certified product must also account for sensor blind spots, stationary occupants, door access, power loss, fault states and delayed shutdown.

Does the device operate exclusively on sunlight?

No. The disclosed architecture contemplates photovoltaic cells, battery storage and optional external electrical input. Feasibility of PV-only operation depends on measured available light and actual device energy demand.

How do the movable reflectors improve coverage?

Reflecting and tilting elements can redirect radiation toward particular targets. Their actual optical gain or loss depends on UVC reflectivity, geometry and shadowing; all target locations require mapped exposure measurements.

Can a UVC device be used while people are present?

UVC can be hazardous to exposed eyes and skin. Whether any given configuration is suitable for occupied spaces depends on complete engineering, containment, safety interlocks, optical emission analysis and applicable regulatory requirements. Occupancy detection alone is not adequate proof of safety.

Is the patent granted in Slovenia?

The inventor reports a Slovenian patent grant, and the Electrolips homepage describes the UVC invention as patented. The grant number and its precise jurisdictional scope must be confirmed from the official registration record before representing this as independently verified.

Does a Slovenian patent protect manufacturing throughout Europe?

Not by itself. Patent rights are territorial. EU manufacturing decisions and sales territories require a review of patent coverage, ownership, infringement risk and agreements in each relevant jurisdiction.

Which manufacturing operations are suited to EU partners?

Plastic or metal fabrication, reflector manufacture, electronics assembly, UVC optics, sensor/driver integration, final device assembly, and end-of-line safety/radiometric testing can be allocated to EU contract partners through competitive RFQs.

What evidence will institutional buyers ask for?

Documented microbial-reduction performance for stated surfaces and organisms, radiometric and electrical test data, occupational safety protections, regulatory conformity, service reliability and total cost of ownership.

What are the likely highest technical risks?

Accessible irradiation, under-dosing due to shadows, sensor failures, optical degradation, emitter aging, thermal control, battery safety, inaccurate disinfectant claims and inconsistent production calibration.

What commercial arrangements are being sought?

Potential investor-funded development, OEM manufacturing, IP licensing, European joint ventures, territory-based distribution and pilot customers. Actual commercial terms remain to be negotiated and documented.

Are the financial numbers investor forecasts?

No. All calculator defaults are changeable hypothetical examples to demonstrate the relationship between volumes, prices, delivered costs and fixed expenditures.
